I travelled with a group on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal in November 1994.On this website you will find more than 180 photos taken before, during and after the trek, including some photos taken on a holiday in Nepal the following year. This website contains no story, only photos...
Those planning a trek around Annapurna can see what kind of scenery they can expect. For those who have already been there it will be a pleasure to see some of the spectacular views again.
The Kali Gandaki Valley today
The section of the original Annapurna Circuit that passes through the Kali Gandaki Valley, from Kagbeni via Jomsom, Marpha and Ghasa to Tatopani, was traditionally a mule trail. Today, a road follows much of this route.As a result, some of the charm of trekking along this historic trail has been lost. However, for the people of Lower and Upper Mustang, the road has brought significant benefits.
